Welcome to the official blog of Crowd Tech Group, Inc. (CTG). Our goal is to enhance how you experience events. CTG was conceived in 2019, inspired by a novel – yet simple – innovation at founder Mark Laurent’s wedding: why not let the dance floor crowd vote for the next song in real-time, in an easy and seamless way? From this spark of creativity emerged a dynamic startup, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA.
Our original intent was to provide an alternative to traditional DJ services. While this early concept met with success throughout San Diego, we quickly realized the possibilities extended well beyond the dance floor. We envisioned a global platform, capable for far more than just voting for the next song; a platform designed for everyone attending an event, whether a small private gathering, or a large-scale celebration, and being able to engage in those events meaningfully, and thus, enhance the overall experience.

At CTG, our mission is to revolutionize event experiences. We believe that events are meant to bring people together, foster a sense of community and create lasting memories. We don’t believe that the responsibility of orchestrating a successful event should rest solely on the shoulders of the hosts, while guests remain passive participants that need to be coaxed into enjoying the event. We’re flipping the script: we strive to facilitate active participation from all attendees, ensuring that everyone can contribute to making these moments unforgettable – for themselves, as well as for the host. We see hosts collaborating with their guests, promoting collective engagement before, during, and after events, making each event unique.
The CTG Platform is designed with two key stakeholders in mind: the hosts, and their guests. Simplicity is key to our concept. Using our Platform, hosts can easily create and configure their event using just their phone number (no username or password required, just a quick two-factor authentication process). When the host is about to begin the event, they can easily share the event with their guests who themselves can join by quickly scanning a QR code, or clicking a “join” link. No app downloads needed. Joining the party leads the guests to all of the ways the host wants them to engage with the event.
Through this intuitive platform, we offer numerous benefits, including increased interaction between guests, fostering a sense of healthy competition, and facilitating fun collaboration. Moreover, businesses can benefit from increased customer retention and longer engagement times. Our platform also provides an avenue for guests to communicate with hosts or event planners, expressing suggestions for improvement or voicing concerns. This feedback loop ensures that everyone's voice is heard, leading to a more satisfying event experience for all.
